A Look Back On 2019

We’re two weeks into the New Year, so welcome to 2020, whether you are ready or not! As we enter this new month, this new calendar year, this new decade, we want to take a quick moment to reflect back on what PIA Products learned from our valued customers and partners during 2019. The old saying is those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. So, we’re building upon all the positives in the last year! Check out what we discovered

Out With The Old, In With The New

Gone are the days of passing off poorly packaged designer impostors. If you want to appeal to this generation, your product offering must be current, and must be recognizable. Name brand retail merchandise, not off brands, will drive an increase in your game play. Your winners want value. They want a product they know and recognize. Have you ever seen this generation’s reaction to a flip phone? If you haven’t updated your product offering, you’re probably sending the wrong message. Don't be stuck in the past or considered out of touch, past your sell by date, or obsolete.  Click here for more.

Stats Don’t Lie

For the sports fans out there, you know the old adage that the numbers don’t lie…...and more often than not, it stays true to form. The best teams statistically usually are the last ones standing, the ones competing for whatever championship is applicable in that specific sport. The same goes for operational statistics and metrics. KPI’s provide insight to how your business is performing, and odds are if you’re hitting on your numbers, the business is healthy, and achieving its goals. Data intelligence, when studied, and interpreted correctly, provides immense value to even the smallest aspects of your organization. Click here for more.

Service, Service, Service

You can either sell a product, or sell yourself. Superior service will always set you apart, and more than likely keep your customers coming back for more! Such a simple concept can really impact your bottom line. What type of organization are you? Click here for more.

Partnerships Lead To Success

Successful partnerships are necessary in all industries. For us to be successful, our partners need to be successful. It’s a symbiotic relationship. Both parties need to be invested in each other. Relationships matter. When both parties are invested in each other’s success, great things can happen! Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Find the right partners who can help solve your problems, or improve your operations. To paraphrase our valued clients, create “a Win-Win situation.” Click here for more.

The Cost Of Freight

As you look for ways to streamline your business, and increase efficiency, freight consolidation opportunities provide a chance to realize some cost savings. Aside from a lower freight charge, you’ll realize savings in your warehousing and accounting operations. Less shipments to receive, and boxes to touch, means reduced paperwork throughout your receiving and payables process. Those savings will add up, and can be used to fund other projects, or improve your net profit and bottom line. Click here for more.

“P” Is for Prizes

During our conversations with various FEC operators at IAAPA, we realized and reaffirmed that a subtle, but deliberate shift in prize selection is occuring. Operators are now using counter space for higher value items. Eye catching, name brand, and functional consumer products are beginning to take more and more shelf space. Product locations on planograms, once held for lesser quality, off-brand toys that could easily break are now becoming showcased real estate for adult items. These are products that Mom or Dad, or the entire family will play for, use, and enjoy together. The ashtrays of yesteryear are the name brand Bluetooth speakers, coffee makers, tablets, TV’s, and games of today. Adult orientated, quality items have value and are a great reminder of a wonderful, fun experience.Click here for more.

Cheers to the Amusement, Family Entertainment, and Global Attractions Industries! As you’ve heard us say before, “It’s not rocket science…...but it is a science!”

Happy New Year!
