Happy New Year
Posted by PIA Product team on Dec 15th 2021
For those of you who follow our blogs, you may remember back to March of 2019, when we discussed the importance of new products, and ever changing consumer expectations in PIA ~ Old versus New.
Building on that concept, and in the spirit of the fast approaching New Year, we once again turn our focus to out with the old and in with the new!
The New Year signifies an opportunity to make some changes. We all make plenty of new years resolutions or create a vision board on a personal note, but why not extend that thinking to your business, and look for ways to implement some new thinking.
2022 represents the turning of the page both literally in a calendar sense, and figuratively where we all have an opportunity to implement new processes and procedures. We start out with a fresh slate, new budgets, new goals, new visions, and a new enthusiasm for the year ahead.
Lets use this new year to examine our merchandise mix, and ensure we have the right balance in our assortment plans. For 2022, don’t forget the importance of including new, hip, and on-trend products, while also realizing the importance of product rotation. New item introductions will keep your offering fresh in the eyes of your valued customers and players. Don’t be afraid to consider some new display techniques to provide a new perspective.
As we alluded to in March of 2019, times have changed, including the expectations and demands of consumers. Kids and young Adults have technology embedded within their DNA, and they live in a world that moves much faster than previous generations. They are influenced by brands, so gone are the days of passing off poorly packaged designer impostors. If you want to appeal to today’s consumer, your product offering must be current, and must be recognizable.
Your winners want value. They want products they know and recognize. So as this new year approaches, take the opportunity to update your product offering with some new additions. We guarantee you'll be happy you did. Here’s wishing everyone a great 2022. Happy New Year!
